Mother’s Day 2026 will be celebrated in Canada on Sunday, May 10, and I am already hoping Toronto gives us a beautiful spring weekend with no rain. I always love finding ways to celebrate outside with family, so I put together this guide with Mother’s Day events and ideas in Toronto and across the GTA.
If you are also looking for a thoughtful gift, I recommend checking out the Mother’s Day Gift Guide here. I like having a few online gift options ready because it can save time, reduce stress, and still help make the weekend feel special.

Toronto Events for Mother’s Day 2026
Here are some of my favourite Mother’s Day events happening in Toronto and the GTA. If you hear about another family-friendly event that should be added to this guide, feel free to reach out.

Mother’s Day Brunch & Dinner Buffet
If you want a classic Mother’s Day meal, I love the idea of celebrating with an elegant brunch or dinner buffet featuring carving selections, seafood, seasonal dishes, and pâtisserie. The event is hosted in the intimate charm of The Dining Room and the historic grandeur of The Brulé Ballroom.

If staying home feels easier, their Afternoon Tea for Two is also available for takeout, beautifully packaged and ready to enjoy wherever the day takes you.

Mother’s Day Cake Canvas Experience!
For a creative and sweet activity, I would add the Mother’s Day Cake Canvas Experience to the list. It is beginner-friendly and perfect for moms, friends, and kids, with all the supplies included to decorate a beautiful cake.

This event takes place on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Guests will paint and decorate their own pre-baked cake canvas using buttercream, making it a relaxed and memorable way to spend time together.

A Mother’s Day to Remember with Sanchez, Romain Virgo and Nigy Boy
Some moments deserve more than flowers, and this concert feels like a beautiful way to create a lasting memory. A Mother’s Day To Remember is Toronto’s premier Mother’s Day concert celebration, dedicated to honoring the queens who raised us.

I like that this event is designed for families to celebrate together in style. Taking place annually around Mother’s Day, it offers an elegant evening of music, celebration, and appreciation.

Mother’s Day Succulent Workshop
If you enjoy hands-on activities, I think the Mother’s Day Succulent Workshop is a lovely choice. It combines creativity, connection, nature, and a little indulgence in one thoughtful experience.

During the workshop, an expert succulent designer will share tips for succulent care and styling before guests create their own vibrant succulent arrangement. I love that it gives everyone something meaningful to take home.
Mother’s Day Boat Cruises
For a celebration with skyline views, I would consider treating Mom to a Mother’s Day Brunch aboard Obsession III. It gives Mom a day off while everyone enjoys a mouth-watering brunch, background jazz music, and beautiful views of Toronto from the water.
This feels like one of those Mother’s Day experiences that can turn into a family memory, especially if the weather is on our side.
Casa Loma High Tea
Mother’s Day High Tea is back at Casa Loma on Sunday, May 10. If you want to treat someone special to a one-of-a-kind experience in one of Toronto’s most iconic settings, this is a beautiful option. You can get tickets HERE.
Paint Under the Cherry Blossoms
If you want something relaxed and creative, I love the idea of painting beautiful cherry blossom scenes together. This Mother’s Day paint experience is inspired by High Park in bloom and is designed for all skill levels, so no experience is needed.
It sounds like a calm and memorable outing for moms, friends, or family. You can enjoy the spring atmosphere while creating your own cherry blossom painting to take home.
From all of us at Toronto New Mom Blog, I wish you a very Happy Mother’s Day.
To preserve your Mother’s Day memories, I also like the idea of creating a special custom photo album filled with favourite moments from the day.
Lapel pins custom can also make a sweet keepsake for activities you attend with your mom on Mother’s Day. I like that you can design them with a date, name, or meaningful words to help remember the day forever.
